Initial consultation- $300 plus GST to be paid at time of consultation up to an hour
This covers an office consultation, or reading and responding to internet queries and emailed forms from the website. Payment must be made on the day for office consultations and website responses will be provided after receipt of the consultation fee has been paid.
Hourly rate - $400 per hour divided into 10 x six minute units including writing file notes of telephone and office consultations, drafting and responding to court forms, emails, letters, faxes and phone calls. Records of time spent are calculated within each client's file on legal software files.
Financial Agreements
Independant advice on Agreement written by another solicitor - $400 plus GST.
Obtaining financial details and details of relationship and writing Agreements -$2,000.00
Negotiating agreement at the hourly rates above.
Payments to others, such as court filing fees, service agent's fees, barristers' fees, and others are to be paid by the client and will be notified at the time as needed.
Clients should ensure that they either have enough money to cover the estimated costs, or else should organise a credit card, personal loan or litigation funding (which can be found by a google search). Court procedures are expensive and should be considered carefully. Fees can mount up quickly when there is activity at various stages of the proceedings.
Accounts must be paid within 7 days of the date of each invoice. Work will not be continued unless all accounts are paid up to date.
